Christoph Ibele

US Sailing Instructor, Delivery Crew

Christoph was an elemental member of the crew for Voyage Alaska 2005. He spent his college years as a US Sailing instructor for the University of Wisconsin. He has spent several years sailing the waters of the Pacific NW from Olympia to Juneau. Pacific NW Expeditions calls upon Christoph when the route demands heavy-weather sailing and 24-hour watch-keeping.

Matthew Mitchell

US Sailing Instructor, ASA Certified Basic Keelboat Instructor, Delivery Crew

Matthew Mitchell grew up sailing with his parents and racing scows on inland waters. Inevitably he moved to larger boats and started racing a Frers 36 out of Hampton, VA. But presently he is earning “freedom chips” and looking forward to enjoying the cruising life on his home built scudder.

Reeb Willms

Delivery Crew

WWU Crew National Champion, 2007

Reeb is Silent Partner’s watch-keeper while captain Frost is on a delivery. She grew up in the desert, but in a place called Waterville. Her path has led thus far to Bellingham, at the gateway to the Inside Passage. Despite her red hair, she is good luck aboard a ship, and her adventurous spirit is a breath of fresh air on every voyage.

Ryan Grant

Web Solutions [>]

Ryan Grant is Pacific NW Expeditions’ link to shore while we sail the high seas. He has provided IT support for each of the Voyage Alaska expeditions. Ryan has sailed to every fjord and glacier on the outer Kenai Peninsula, is a crack sailor, and a pleasure to have on board (when we can get him away from the computer!)
If you enjoy this website, Ryan will be happy to set one up for you too.

Jakob Bueche

Delivery Crew, Ship’s Engineer

Jakob can be found in the bilges, covered in oil. When the engine quits on the high seas, Jakob is Pacific NW Expeditions’ tried and trusted mechanic. Jakob grew up on Mt. Desert Island in Maine, among some of the finest sailors to be found anywhere.
